A thought on photography

Images can store memory and emotion. The greatest photos will be looked at in many years and will be a piece of beauty or emotion for the viewer. - For the photographer, it will also be a memory worth keeping.

A selection of images

Dune at Løkken beach

I was captured by the softness of the wind in the grass on this dune. The bright blue sky makes for nice contrast towards the dark areas of the grass.

Inside a bunker

Inside a bunker from World War II. My son is posing – having a camera in his face the most of his life has made him used to me photographing him often. The texture of the bunker and the directed light made nice contrast for this image.

Milky Way on a frosty night

My first attempt on a Milky Way photo after switching to a Fujifilm camera. Having only a 23mm lens I had to do a panorama. The sea around the boat walk was frozen – and so was my fingers. But i enjoyed the area and the view.

Paraglider in the sunset

While standing at the top of a lighthouse during sunset, a bunch of paragliders suddenly broke the light. One of them placed himself perfectly between me and the sun.

Self portrait

Experimenting with external flash to do this self portrait. The aim was to get sharp details of the textures – and light up the eyes.

Milky Way over boat walk

At the west coast of Denmark the picture was taken in April 2021. The boat walk seems infinitely long in the night time making a perfect foreground for the dreamy sight of the Milky Way.

Musikkens Hus (House of Music) at night

The House of Music in Aalborg has its own artistic look, and at night time the mix of glas, concrete and light makes for an interesting image.

Milky Way by Lake

The Milky Way over a lake near the area of Lille Vildmose in Northern Jutland, Denmark.

  • Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important and capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don’t work out, just take another shot.

  • Photography is the simplest thing in the world, but it is incredibly complicated to make it really work.
